Waste Management

Waste management regulations are becoming stricter, so it is therefore essential that waste is controlled and totally contained.

The Atlas system has been designed to do this function trouble free, without the need for expensive maintenance and repair.

Atlas panels are designed to combat the corrosive properties of animal waste and can be used for the construction of different types of waste containment.

Dirty Wall Containment

The Atlas system for dirty water containment has many advantages over other systems.

Using 140 thick double loading panels tanks can be constructed any size because Atlas concrete panels come in 1 meter wide modules with leak free seals. For total containment Hydrotite jointing must be placed in the tongue and groove, this swells when it becomes wet forming a good seal. The chamfered edges are then filled with mastic in the inside of the tank which is then painted with bitumastic paint to give complete containment.

Middens

A simple three sided structure of panels set in a concrete base as a containment for solid matter..

Weeping Wall Middens

These are designed for total containment but allow any liquid to drain off and run to a suitable collection point.

The panels used for this have four specially constructed slots in each to allow liquid to run off which is collected in a channel formed on the outside of the pit with Atlas concrete T beams. The slots stop short of the midden floor to leave a floating bed for even distribution.

The panels are manufactured in different lengths to allow for different pit cavities and can be capped with Atlas cattle slats or solid concrete panels with pump access holes cast on request.

Atlas panels are completely durable and resistant to damage and having tongue and groove edges they interlock to form an exceptionally long life containment system.
